Elena Cassella

Elena completed her MChem in Chemistry at the University of Sheffield in 2018. Her masters project investigated the strong-coupling interaction between plasmonically-active gold films and excitons in light-harvesting molecules.

Elena is now undertaking a PhD with Professor David Lidzey to develop spray-coating perovskite PV devices over curved substrates. Her PhD is also as part of the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in New and Sustainable Photovoltaics, a collaborative training programme across seven UK universities.

Outside of this, Elena works part time at Ossila and in her spare time enjoys cooking, weightlifting and cycling.
