Dominic Blackburn

Dom graduated from the University of Warwick in 2019. His masters project was on the topic of self-assembling cyclic peptide nanotubes, and after graduating, he worked as a laboratory technician for a small disinfectant company.

He had been interested in a career in solar cells for years, and in 2021, he began his PhD with the Lidzey group researching novel, back-contact perovskite solar cells in collaboration with the company Power Roll. This project has a broad scope, with a focus on upscalable technology for roll-to-roll printing of solar cells.

In his free time, Dom enjoys watching terrible movies, eating biscuits, playing guitar and a good strong cup of coffee.
